Showing affection is not allowed in Egypt. No public kissing, no hugging, even walking hand in hand is disapproved. Try to kiss in the taxi and you will be kicked out the taxi in no time. Go on a sailboat and sit together and they will tell you you need to have space in between the two of you. Public displays of affection are often prosecuted under laws of public indecency, meaning those who kiss on the streets can be fined or imprisoned.
